Creative Uploads

Learn how to upload an advertiser's creative assets to your newsletter.

Updated over a week ago

Once you have accepted and approved a sponsorship request, the campaign will be assigned "Creative" status in Paved. This means we're waiting on the advertiser to upload the ad's copy and design—also known as the creative.

  • For sponsored emails:

The Paved system will ask you to define your Sponsorship Specs first so that the advertiser knows specifically what to provide.

  • For dedicated emails:

Advertisers will be uploading a full HTML file. If you do not accept this format for dedicated email, please message the advertiser to communicate what they should provide instead.

If you require creative a certain number of days before the agreed-upon send date, please inform the advertiser of this. Typically, creative is submitted 24-48 hours in advance.

Creative Timeline

Currently, we ask advertisers to respond to a request for creative or payment within 3 days from the time their campaign request is accepted.

If they have not already, we send advertisers reminder emails during this time to encourage them to complete these steps.

If an advertiser does not complete these steps during this timeframe, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. We're happy to help expedite these actions or can assist you in canceling the campaign request.

Adding Sponsorship Content to your Email

After you've received creative, you'll need to add it to your newsletter within your ESP.

Do not use creative that wasn’t downloaded directly from the Paved system. The creative that goes through Paved has tracking links and an open pixel that allows us to confirm that a campaign was sent, produce reporting for the advertiser, and schedule payment.

Next Steps

After you've added the ad placement to your template, you'll double-check the open pixel and send a campaign draft for review.
