In the newsletter sponsorship industry, it's extremely important that you properly disclose sponsored content. Not only is this required by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), but it will ensure that your readers will not feel misled or taken advantage of.

In general, disclosures should be:

  • in unambiguous language

  • as close as possible to the native ads to which they relate

  • in a font and color that’s easy to read

  • in a shade that stands out against the background
