In this article, we'll go over answers to common questions about advertising on the Paved Marketplace.

What is the Paved Marketplace?

The Paved Marketplace is a platform that connects advertisers with email newsletter publishers. It allows you to find and sponsor newsletters that match your target audience, budget, and goals.

If you are interested in learning more about the Paved Marketplace, you can sign up for free or book a quick demo.

How long does it take to get a Paved Marketplace campaign up and running?

It takes between 24 hours and a few days.

After you send a sponsorship request in the Marketplace, the publisher will first need to accept it. The response is at the sole discretion of the publisher, but we recommend a window of 3 days.

After accepting your request, the publisher will provide available dates for your sponsorship. Depending on availability, the sponsorship could launch within a few days. However, very popular publications tend to book out months in advance.

What's the difference between the Marketplace and Ad Network?

The Paved Marketplace lets you search and select from hundreds of email newsletters offering sponsorships for a set fee. By booking a sponsorship, you have a 100% share of voice with that newsletter audience on the day your campaign runs.

The Paved Ad Network runs on programmatic technology and allows you to target specific subscribers across all newsletters in the network based on demographics or interests. Your ad would only appear to subscribers that match your audience criteria.

How does Marketplace pricing work for advertisers?

Paved works purely on a commission basis. We charge the commission from the publisher so as an advertiser, you pay the price you see listed on the platform.

There is no fee, subscription, or minimum monthly spend to use Paved.

  • Prices are listed by the individual newsletter

  • You can book dedicated sends, native ads, and sponsored blog posts

  • The listed price is the price you pay

Is the Marketplace PPC?

No. On the Marketplace, you pay a set sponsorship fee regardless of clicks or impressions. This fee is set by the newsletter’s publisher and takes into account the audience size, recent engagement statistics, popularity, and the value of the audience.

What's the average CPA in the Marketplace?

This varies greatly. Your CPA is dependent on three factors:

  1. How much the sponsorship costs

  2. How many clicks you received

  3. How many of those clicks actually converted

At Paved, we aim for an acquisition cost lower than 50% of your profit. If you'd like more information on what your CPA is and how to lower it, please contact us. We'd be happy to help!
